Terror! A True Story of a Botta kuri Delivery Health Service in Nagoya

Most reputable delivery health services that have been in business for years use landline numbers with area codes for their reception phone numbers. They also properly submit a "Notice of Commencement of Business" to the local police station under the "Adult Entertainment Business Control Law" and register with the Public Safety Commission.

However, it is also a fact that there are some unscrupulous scam businesses that operate solely with mobile phone numbers without submitting the necessary notifications.

They probably think that they can easily shut down and run away with a mobile phone number.

This is a terrifying experience I had when I went to Aichi Prefecture for a job as a tour conductor.

It was a Monday, March 11th, bathed in gentle spring sunshine.

When it comes to Aichi Prefecture's Nagoya City, it is one of Japan's major cities.

It boasts countless tourist attractions, including the "Nagoya Castle," which served as the castle of the Tokugawa family and is designated as National Treasure No. 1; the prestigious "Atsuta Jingu" shrine, which houses one of the Three Sacred Treasures, the Kusanagi Sacred Sword; the gourmet street "Kinshachi Yokocho;" "Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens," where you can meet about 500 different kinds of animals; "LEGOLAND Japan Resort," where you can enjoy the world of Lego blocks; "Tsuruma Park," selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots; and "Nagoya Port Aquarium," which boasts Japan's largest outdoor tank.

In addition to museums, art galleries, and the bustling Sakae district, there is no end to the sights to see.

I Returned to the Hotel and Called a Delivery Health Service

Well, my work at lunchtime was also finished safely, so I went to a cheap cabaret club in Nishiki 3-chome, and returned to the hotel with a slight buzz.

I immediately opened my laptop to call a delivery health service. While searching through a portal site, I found a cheap store that was running a campaign.

(So, 60 minutes for 16,000 JPY, and for new customers, 60 minutes for 10,000 JPY? That's cheap...)

At that time, I was a little drunk, so I only looked at the information posted on the portal site and didn't check the official site.

Later, this would become my biggest regret, but at the time, I was unaware of what was to come.

I called the reception phone number, which was a mobile phone number, without giving it much thought.

"Hello, this is Delivery Health **."

"Ah, sorry, but could I ask for one girl..."

"I understand. Do you have a request?"

"No, not particularly..."

"Then it's a free pick. Where are you located?"

"It's room ** of *** Hotel."

"We can enter that hotel."

"Oh, that's good to hear. Um, I saw the campaign page on the *** site, but is it true that it's 10,000 JPY for 60 minutes?"

"Yes, for new customers, the first time only, you can use it for 60 minutes at 10,000 JPY."

"Oh, that's good. Please go ahead with that. How long will it take for her to arrive?"

"Well, probably about 30 minutes or so."

"I understand."

With that, I started running a bath, brushed my teeth, and trimmed my nails while waiting.

Suddenly, a Yakuza Member Appeared!

After about 30 minutes, the room intercom rang.

(Ah! It's here... I hope it's a cute girl...)

Full of anticipation, I opened the door.

Standing there was a man with a typical Yakuza-like fierce face.

"Good evening. The fee is 165,800 JPY."

"Eh? 165,800 JPY!? But on the phone, I heard it was 10,000 JPY for 60 minutes..."

"Did you see our site?"

"I saw the campaign page on a portal site called ***..."

"Did you see our official site?"

"No, I didn't see the official site..."

"Then take a look at this."

The man opened a tablet and showed me the store's system page.

The contents were astonishing...

The basic course was 16,000 JPY for 60 minutes, 23,000 JPY for 90 minutes, and 32,000 JPY for 120 minutes, which seemed normal, but here came the problem.

The extension fee was 200,000 JPY for 30 minutes!? Furthermore, in the "Additional Notes" section, various additional charges were listed in small print.

For example, the transportation fee was 5,000 JPY per kilometer from around Nagoya Station, the phone reservation fee was 5,000 JPY, there was a 30% nighttime surcharge on the total amount after 10 p.m., using a private home or business hotel incurred an additional 10,000 JPY, and the girl's designation fee varied, with some girls requiring a designation fee of up to 100,000 JPY.

Moreover, it was a fully prepaid system, and they did not accept any changes or cancellations. If you absolutely had to cancel, you had to pay the full amount.

(What the heck is this!?)

In other words, these fees piled up to result in this unbelievable amount.

"Now you understand, so pay up quickly."

"N-no... But the receptionist told me it was 10,000 JPY, so please ask them."

I resisted desperately.

I had just been a victim of price gouging in Ikebukuro last month, and I absolutely did not want to go through the same thing again.

"We have several receptionists, so I don't know who said that!"

(That's a lie! You're taking calls on a mobile phone!)

"But I heard it was 10,000 JPY..."

"No, it's 165,800 JPY in total. Pay up quickly, you have the money, don't you?"

"I don't have it..."

"Don't lie! Pay up!"

The Yakuza member was getting more and more worked up.

(I was so scared that my knees were shaking...)

"No, I don't have it..."

"Then let's go to the ATM at a convenience store. Let's go now!"

"No, I won't go..."

"You saw the site, didn't you! It's clearly written there! Anyway, it's 165,800 JPY in total, so pay up!"

"I won't pay. I heard it was 10,000 JPY for 60 minutes."

"You jerk!"

The Yakuza member stormed into the room.

"Ah, if you come into the room, isn't that trespassing? I'll call the police!"

"Go ahead and call them!"

The Yakuza member was defiant.

"Yelling like that is intimidation!"

"Shut up! I want to get the girl into the room quickly, so pay up!"

"I won't pay. The fee is different from what I was told. Please confirm with the receptionist."

"I told you, there are multiple receptionists, so I don't know who said that!"

"Doesn't that mean you're not keeping track properly...?"

"Huh!? What are you talking about! Just pay up quickly!"

The Yakuza member shouted and took a high-pressure attitude.

I was filled with a mix of resentment and pathetic feelings, but I resisted desperately.

"No, I won't pay. I don't have that much money."

"You jerk, cut the crap! You'll get hurt!"

"A-are you going to use violence? If you use violence, it's assault. And if I get injured, it's bodily injury!"

"Don't mess with me!"

"I'm not messing around. I just don't want to pay."

"Don't screw with me!"

The Yakuza member kicked the wall next to me with all his might.

"Boom!" A tremendous sound rang out.

"Hurry up and hand over the money! We don't have time!"

"I won't pay anyway."

"Huh!? Didn't you ask for it! Pay up quickly!"

"No, I absolutely won't pay. What are you going to do if I don't pay?"

"Call the police or whatever! I'm the victim here!"

"What kind of victim are you?"

"I'm the victim because you won't pay!"

"I haven't played yet, so I won't pay."

"It says on the site that it's prepaid! Stupid!"

"The receptionist told me it would be 10,000 JPY for 60 minutes."

"Anyway, what are you going to do! Are you going to cancel? Then pay the full amount as a cancellation fee!"

"No, I won't pay."

"The girl is waiting. Pay up quickly!"

"Then bring the girl here."

"I'll bring her, so hurry up and pay! You jerk!"

"Please stop, don't shout so loudly..."

"Shut up! That doesn't matter, just hand over the money quickly!"

At that moment, the room phone rang.

It was probably the front desk.

Someone must have reported the loud noise when the Yakuza member kicked the wall earlier.

However, I couldn't answer the phone in this situation.

After a while, the phone stopped ringing.

The back-and-forth between the Yakuza member and me continued...

"Pay up!"

"I won't pay."

"Don't mess with me! Pay up!"

"No, I won't pay."

Then, I heard a knock on the door.

Since it wasn't the phone ringing, I thought I couldn't ignore it, so I opened the door.

Saved by a Hotel Staff Member

"Excuse me. If you wish to meet someone, could you do so in the lobby?"

I instinctively apologized to the hotel staff member.

"Ah, sorry..."

The hotel staff member sensed the tense atmosphere and waited for the Yakuza member to leave without closing the door.

(Saved. I hope the Yakuza member gives up and leaves...)

Then, the Yakuza member said,

"Get down to the lobby!"

And left the room.

After that, I was relieved to hear the hotel staff member ask, "Are you okay?" and I replied, "I'm fine. Thank you very much."

In my heart, I admired this hotel staff member.

Of course, I didn't go down to the lobby afterward, and although the phone kept ringing, I turned off the power and stayed quiet.

I must have fallen asleep at some point because the morning sun was shining through my window.

When I checked out, that Yakuza member wasn't there, and I wasn't ambushed outside either.

Thank goodness...

Conclusion

This time, I was really scared.

I was filled with terror, thinking I might get beaten up.

But I'm so glad I was saved by the hotel staff member. Otherwise, I might have ended up withdrawing money from the ATM.

It was so scary.

Anyway, the store I called was a mobile phone-based business that seemed to have just opened.

I'm reporting this experience to raise awareness so that others don't fall into the same dangerous situation.

When using a delivery health service, choose a store with a landline number, and check the store's reviews on sites like "Bakusai," "Host Love," and "City Heaven."

Also, for safety's sake, be sure to check the official site's notes as well.

So, please be careful
