The Rip-off Thai Ancient Massage Parlor
This is a horror story from when I visited Miyagi Prefecture as a tour conductor.
Miyagi Prefecture is a nice place, especially in Sendai city.
The historic site of Sendai Castle, the imposing statue of Date Masamune on horseback. You can see all of Sendai downtown near the horseback statue, so the view is fantastic!
Also, there is a gatehouse on the way from the Sendai City Museum to the ruins of Sendai Castle, and the cherry blossoms are beautiful.
The refreshing spring breeze, the scent of cherry blossoms, and the company of the tour make it feel like you're traveling together, which is fun.
And the night entertainment is also enjoyable.
Because you can meet the local beauties.
So, once again, I went out to Sendai's downtown entertainment district, Kokubuncho.
Thai Ancient Massage Therapist!?
I went to girls bars, groped breasts at sex cabarets, and bar-hopped cheap cabarets.
I had 50,000 JPY in my wallet, but now I only have 10,000 JPY left.
(Wow, I spent 40,000 JPY!)
I panicked a little, but it's okay because it's only one week until payday.
I was quite drunk, but I was walking back to the hotel, staggering.
"Would you like a massage, sir?"
A Thai girl spoke to me in broken Japanese.
"Huh? Massage?"
"Yes, would you like a massage?"
On closer inspection, the message board she was holding said,
"Thai Ancient Massage, 20 minutes for 1,000 JPY."
(20 minutes for 1,000 JPY is cheap... I think it was more expensive when I received it in Bangkok...)
Previously, when I went to Phuket, I stopped by Bangkok on the way. The ancient Thai massage I received there felt cheaper.
I was also carried away by the drunkenness,
"Is this price really okay? Isn't it cheap for an ancient Thai massage?"
I asked.
"It's okay. It's cheap now."
"Okay, OK. Let's go then..."
This is how I agreed to receive the massage and was guided to the store.
"Sir, it's this way..."
I was guided to a small miscellaneous building in the back alley.
We climbed the narrow stairs where two adults couldn't pass each other and arrived on the third floor.
When I opened the slightly rusty iron door, there was a small counter, which seemed to be the reception.
Persistent Male Thai Manager
There was one Thai man inside the reception counter.
Probably the manager.
When I tried to pay him by opening my wallet, he said this to me,
"Sir, there are currently three female therapists, so how about three people for 20 minutes for 3,000 JPY?"
(Huh? I don't need three people for a massage!!?)
I wondered what this person was talking about, thinking he might be crazy, and refused.
"No, one person is enough."
However, this manager didn't back down.
"What should the other two people do while they are serving you?"
He started saying incomprehensible things.
(Is this guy really crazy, or doesn't he understand Japanese?)
"It's okay. I can get a massage with just one person."
"Sir, two hands are better than six hands."
"But one person is enough for a massage."
"Sir, it is said that three people are necessary for authentic Thai ancient massage."
"What are you talking about? I've never heard of it. Anyway, one person is enough!"
This push and pull went on for about ten minutes.
And you know what.
In the end, I gave in and agreed to have one more person so two people would treat me.
The girl who called out to me outside and another slightly chubby girl.
The price was 2,000 JPY for two people for 20 minutes. I only had 10,000 JPY bills in my wallet, so I gave one to the male manager, but he said he didn't have any change.
I thought this store was suspicious, so I asked for the change first, but the manager said, "I'll go get change, so I'll give it to you after the treatment."
(You should have the change ready!)
While thinking so, I had no choice but to move to the playroom with the two girls and get a massage.
The room smelled a little musty.
The size was about four and a half tatami mats, with only one massage bed in the middle.
"Sir, please take off all your clothes."
"Huh? All of them!? Even my underwear!?"
"Yes, take everything off and lie face down."
(It's okay to lie face down, but do I have to take off my underwear?)
I thought it was strange, but I did as I was told and lay face down on the massage bed, completely naked.
The Massage Wasn't Thai Ancient Style!
What surprised me about the massage was that it wasn't in the ancient Thai style.
The ancient Thai massage I received in Bangkok included finger pressure and stretching of the arms and legs. However, these girls only kneaded my body.
It was clumsy and not relaxing at all.
One girl was massaging the back of my head, and the other was massaging my calves, but it didn't feel good at all.
Moreover, in less than five minutes, they stopped and said,
"Sir, for 20,000 JPY, we will make you cum."
"Huh? How do you make me cum?"
"Sir, we will do it by hand."
"Huh? 20,000 JPY for a handjob!?"
"Yes, that's right."
"No, thank you. Just continue the massage until the end."
(20,000 JPY for a handjob is too expensive! Besides, I don't have that much money.)
"Sir, then I'll make 18,000 JPY."
"No, it's okay. Just continue the massage."
"All right. Sir, I'll make it 15,000 JPY."
The Thai girls kept discounting the price...
And eventually, the price dropped to 10,000 JPY.
Even so, since I disagreed, the girls took surprising action.
They Held Me Down!
Believe it or not, they held me down, two against one!
One girl held my hands, and the other held my feet.
"What are you doing!?"
"Sir, it's only 10,000 JPY!"
"It's impossible! It's impossible!"
"Sir, it's only 10,000 JPY!"
(They don't understand what I'm saying, and they're outrageous. I want to go home!)
I asked them to let me check the contents of my wallet.
I said I wanted to see if I had 10,000 JPY.
They let go of me when I did this, so I hurriedly put my clothes on.
And I said, "I'm leaving," and put my hand on the doorknob.
Then one of the girls threatened me, saying, "Sir, if you leave now, you won't get your change," but I ignored her.
"That's it!"
I shouted and left the room.
There was no manager at the reception.
(Did they intend to rip me off from the beginning...?)
Losing 8,000 JPY in change hurt, but I wanted to escape, so I ran down the stairs.
(It was a scary place...)
This is how I safely returned to my hotel.
Summary
So, be careful of Thai people who are touting on the street. No matter how cheap it is, never follow them.
There are also Chinese girls who have similar tricks, so be careful. My senior said he was tricked in Tokyo.
See you!
